One of the main reasons you come to Barcelona is a visit to La Familia.
The building is nearly complete with topout expected in the next year or two
One of the spires being topped
Amazing workmanship for 1800s
Oh sure take all the fun out of the day
An example how the building is created. Hollowed bricks over rebar with a mud / concrete overlay
What you need to ride to get to the top
The doors for what will soon be the new entrance
In the afternoon the church is filled with warm (orange, red, yellow) lighting while in the morning you get cool tones (blues, greens, purples).
The desserts in the town are plentiful and healthy (or at least I tell myself that)
Time to find lunch. Find a location where people are sitting, look at their faces then just try it.
Super fresh calamari
Just happened lunch came with a view of one of Gaudi’s buildings
Gluten free options were quite plentiful for those with that dietary restriction (Gremi de Pastisseria)
Everything here was gluten free and yummy
Subway stations are large and fairly safe
After a long day of walking it’s time to relax back at the hotel and its roof pool.
